Duties

• Operate commercial-grade dryers, washers, tunnel dryers, conveyor dryers, barrier washers, and other laundry machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform laundry washing, drying, pressing, folding, and ironing to meet quality standards.
• Utilize mechanical stain removal techniques including hot water stain removal, baking soda stain removal, bleach washing, and fabric-specific cleaning methods.
• Manage laundry labeling processes to ensure proper identification and handling of garments.
• Conduct laundry steam cleaning and dry cleaning procedures for delicate or specialized items.
• Maintain an organized workspace by tracking inventory levels of supplies such as detergents, bleach, and cleaning agents.
• Use push carts and tunnel washer operation skills to transport linens and garments throughout the facility efficiently.
• Operate garment care machines with precision while adhering to machine operation safety procedures.
• Ensure proper use of machine safety protocols during all laundry processes to prevent accidents or damage.
• Assist with laundry folding machine operation and laundry folding tasks to deliver neat and presentable finished products.
• Support cashiering duties when needed by processing payments accurately while delivering friendly customer service.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to laundry steam cleaning, barrier washer operation, and other mechanical processes.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks regularly.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of commercial laundry equipment including tunnel washers, stackable dryers, pressing machines, and garment care machines.
• Proficiency in fabric care techniques such as stain removal (hot water, cold water, baking soda), bleach washing, and dry cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate laundry machinery safely following all safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and maintaining an orderly workspace.
• Excellent attention to detail in labeling garments and ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
• Customer service experience with a friendly approach that enhances guest satisfaction.
• Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards related to laundry services is a plus.
