This position is responsible for tasks assigned within the CESB.
Graduate assistants act as helpers to their departments, students or professors in research or administrative capacity. Their primary responsibilities include assisting professors with various administrative tasks, organizing campus events and conducting various research tasks. Evidence of commitment to Christian living is expected.
Supervision Given or Received:
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Dean and/or Director(s) of the CESB.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be in either the MBA or MSSL program in the OKWU CESB and have a 3.0 GPA.
Examples of Work Performed:

- Work collaboratively withfaculty tomanage daily activities and office management.
- Be available for at least20 hours a weekfor work.
- Assistingprofessors and departments with various administrative tasksspecific to graduate program communication and accreditation.
- Assistwithaccreditationfile creation and maintenance.
- Assistwith curating course artifacts.
- Monitor and assign emails fromGPSCESB email.
- Create andmaintaincommunicationcampaigntargeted to graduateregardingupcoming events, etc.
- Attending seminars and periodically lecturing classes.
- Assisting with CESB events: graduation, celebrations, community events, orientation day, etc.
- Build healthy, biblical, collaborative relationships with the OKWU community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include:
A successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively on individual and school goals. Must be familiar with classroom management skills and/or willing to learn.
This position requires a friendly, pleasant personality, diplomacy and tact, maintaining confidentiality, working independently, prioritizing and organizing responsibilities, and completing tasks. Computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
Qualifications:
- Registered and enrolled in a graduate degree.
- Good academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
