Develop leadership, public speaking, and other marketable skills while having fun and working with amazing youth!
Kids on Campus Summer Camp will be held from June 15th – July 17th, 2026 with mandatory staff training required prior to camp .
Summer Team Leaders perform a variety of program activities including:
1. Help deliver engaging, hands-on enrichment activities to enhance and expand children’s knowledge and experience.
2. Ensure safety of children while participating in camp activities.
3. Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks.
4. Monitor children’s progress and accomplishments under direction of camp coordinators.
5. Provide oversight of children transitioning between activities.
6. Provide clerical support to camp administrators.

Job Profile
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Provides care and supervision for children, in a campus-based childcare setting or University-sponsored extracurricular program. Responsibilities include organizing activities, assisting with basic care needs, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Level Summary
Performs basic tasks and assists with administrative or operational duties under supervision. Roles are entry-level and aimed at providing exposure to workplace environments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Limited supervisory responsibilities. May supervise other student workers.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
No budgetary responsibility.
Problem Solving:
Addresses routine, well-defined problems under supervision.
Independence of Action:
Works under close supervision.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicates primarily with supervisor and peers. Collaborates with team members to accomplish tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled for classes at Ohio University, Hocking College, another post-secondary education institution, or a secondary school during the current semester, immediate previous semester, or immediate upcoming semester. Able to follow instructions and complete tasks within deadlines. Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools. Departments may have specific minimum requirements.

Working Condition/Physical Demands:
This position is primarily active and involves moving, direct interaction, and engaged supervision with youth in a daily role. Minimum desk-related work involving computers. Team leaders will rotate with youth through activities during camp and may involve bending, walking and/or running. No heavy lifting or other physical demands.

Work Schedule
Must be available to work 9am-3pm Monday through Friday during mandatory staff training week (June 8th-12th)
Must be available to work 8:30am-3:00pm Monday through Friday for the majority of camp dates (June 15th-July 17th). No camp on June 19th and July 3rd.
