The Office of Information Technology (OIT) delivers enterprise information technology and telecommunication services as well as IT policy and standards, lifecycle investment planning, and privacy and security management.
Supports the work of the InnovateOhio Platform (IOP) User Experience (UX) Architecture team in:
User Experience Practices
- Support the design & improvement of user experiences for InnovateOhio Platform websites & portals
- Create & update user journey maps, wireframes, & design patterns
- Work with agencies & technical teams to support user experience & visual design standards
- Work with developers & other team members to identify & help resolve usability & functional issues
- Support content authors by developing, reviewing, & maintaining documentation & training materials to ensure content is accurate, relevant, accessible, & current
- Develop a basic understanding of technical concepts like data flow, authentication, interface design, & communicate clearly with team members & partners
- Assist with maintaining & improving the IOP Ohio Design System.
- Support the creation & documentation of design components, patterns, & standards
- Help research best practices by observing users, reviewing existing designs, & assisting with user studies
- Support design governance by helping track usage, updates, & compliance with design standards
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by testing new features & reporting usability or design issues
- Assist with organizing feedback from the user community to help improve & expand design standards
- Analyzes websites & applications to identify accessibility issues & provides appropriate guidance to resolve errors
- Reviews accessibility errors from automated testing applications to determine the appropriate course of action for correction
- Develops, reviews, & updates IOP documentation & training material to ensure that information is accessible, accurate, relevant, & current
1 course or 2 months experience in Information Systems/Information Technology, or a related field including but not limited to: Software Engineering/Development, Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Database Administration, Network, IT Security and Help Desk/Customer Support
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
