Summary
The Rental Service will perform operational duties relating to diesel and gasoline engines, boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other general earthmoving and material handling inspections, maintenance, service, and repair. Rental service will be responsible for communication with the Service Manager on problems that could result in a work delay.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
The physical requirements of this job include lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Standing up, sitting up, ascending and descending stairs, and climbing into machines may be required. Normal dexterity needed. Repetitive motions and frequent movements requiring hands, wrists, and fingers will be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Follows safe working practices and procedures and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Completes service reports as required and maintains personnel timecards.
- Communicates effectively with and works harmoniously and constructively with other employees and customers.
- Attends required training classes.
- Follows clear verbal and written instructions.
- Locates and uses service literature and/or technical information.
- Uses hand and power tools and cleans mechanical parts and components.
- Transports components, parts, and equipment as directed around the facility.
- Uses service literature and parts ordering system.
- Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems.
- Performs maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired engines and/or equipment.
- Operates various types of cleaning equipment.
- Reads simple wiring and hydraulic diagrams and schematics.
- Disassembles and assembles components.
- Removes and install components from equipment and engines.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of experience with hands-on mechanical servicing and repair work with aerial work platform equipment, material handling equipment, or earthmoving equipment is required.
- Must have experience maintaining and repairing Aerial Work Platforms, preferably JLG and Genie.
- Must have experience servicing and dispatching a fleet of boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other types of earthmoving and material handling equipment.
- Knowledge and experience of diesel and gas engine required and in electronics and hydraulics systems.
- Must possess superior computer-based diagnosis and mechanical skills abilities.
