Skill in: Public relations, public speaking, customer service, operation of PC, MS Office, BLS computer system*.
Ability to: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, & draw valid conclusions, use research methods in gathering data, prepare meaningful, concise & accurate reports, use proper research methods in gathering data, cooperate with co-workers on group projects, handle sensitive inquiries & contacts with officials & general public, relate with employers and other internal and external customers.
Unusual Working Conditions
Position may require travel, therefore persons occupying this position must provide their own transportation &/or legally operate a state owned vehicle.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with research projects pertaining to non-fatal and fatal occupational injuries/illnesses.
- Collect and enter data into BLS program databases for Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII) and the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) programs.
- Review, research, and refine establishment information for employers included in the SOII program.
- Assist with data correction and verification processes for information reported for the SOII program.
3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical techniques used in problem solving or decision making.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
