ABOUT OHIO:

Over the next two years, Ohio Democrats (ODP) will build an organization to win highly-consequential elections up and down the ballot. With new leadership comes a new vision for our Party, refocusing on the core fundamentals that move the needle. ODP is building back better as a focused, modern, and nimble force to elect Democrats statewide now and in the future.

In 2025 and 2026, Ohio Democrats must re-engage communities, county parties, and voters to build a stronger coalition. Our coalition’s primary focus will be inclusivity, voter education, and mobilization. Our goal is to elect quality democrats to make Ohio a battleground state, and win in 2025-2026. The battle to win back the Senate majority will be fought in Ohio. 2026 also offers the chance to make gains in the state legislature and defend our battleground congressional seats.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Ohio Democratic Party is seeking a Field Researcher to support the ODP, including the 2026 Senate race. We are seeking a dependable, resourceful individual who is committed to electing Democrats, has a good attitude, and can work independently. This is an entry-level position and a good opportunity for those interested in campaign research.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent writing ability and communication skills

• Video/camera editing experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to perform duties under pressure

• Ability to travel extensively at very short notice

• Effective time management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

• Availability during evening and weekend hours

• Willingness to work independently

• A current driver’s license and reliable car is required

The salary will be $3,800 per month plus $200 reserved for travel. Full benefits including PTO as needed, health, dental, and voluntary vision insurance. The hourly expectation will fluctuate depending on the campaign cycle, but will be a minimum of 40 hours per week. Housing will not be provided.
