Social Media Content Creator

LOCATION

Must be based in or easily accessible to NYC. This role will be fully remote but will need to attend client meetings, events, and photoshoots in person.

OGAKI is the social-first agency for prestige beauty brands. Select clients include Laura Mercier, Jillian Dempsey, Supersuite, POV Beauty, and Omorovicza. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Social Media Content Creator will work closely with the Creative Director and Head of Social to ideate & create engaging, on-brand social content for a variety of clients across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Working with the Creative Director and Head of Social to create engaging image and video content, utilizing approved creative direction

· Supporting on creative concept development

· Shooting original TikTok-first and Instagram-first content - inclusive of image and video assets

· Shooting talking-to-the-camera, face-to-camera, and voiceover content

· Shooting BTS content at photoshoots and events - inclusive of image and video assets

· Editing videos and images to create final social-first posts

· Supporting on graphic design such as copy overlays and Instagram Story layouts 

· Staying up-to-date on social media trends and maintaining a sharp awareness of current and emerging trends in the social media landscape for effective content creation

· Sourcing inspiration and stock assets for clients

· Sourcing commercial-free music for clients

· Building out storyboards and shot lists for client photoshoots 

· Supporting on creative direction, templates, and layouts of social media playbooks

· Organizing and keeping track of available client assets

· Attending client calls and internal team calls 

· Communicating with clients and internal cross-functional teams as needed

· Supporting the Creative and Social Media teams with day-to-day needs 

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Knowledge across all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)

· Expertise in creating and shooting elevated social-first content (image and video)

· Expertise in image and video editing

· A passion for producing social-first content

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly moving environment

· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and produce creative concepts that reflect each brand’s objectives

· A strong eye for visual composition

· Knowledge in beauty, wellness, and lifestyle categories

· Proficiency in Adobe Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, and Premiere Pro - along with social editing tools like CapCut 

· Working knowledge of Google Suite

· Experience with project management tools such as Monday a plus

· Experience with social media planning tools such as Dash Social and Planoly a plus

· Experience with Slack a plus

· Experience with Figma and Canva a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Experience as a social media content creator in an agency setting for 3-5 years, ideally with beauty experience

· Demonstrable content creation skills with a strong portfolio of creating and editing social-first content 

· Understanding of marketing, social media, and brand identity design
