Child Welfare Digital Services (CWDS) is located in Sacramento and offers free parking. Office suites are freeway adjacent and near Natomas. Positions are currently eligible for a hybrid work schedule and requires staff to work two days each week at our Sacramento office. Changes to the hybrid/telework program are subject to change at the Governor's discretion and based on business needs. CWDS utilizes a shared workspace or "hoteling" environment when working in the office. This is an opportunity to work with creative and productive IT professionals who are passionate about serving the state's most vulnerable population of children.
Student Assistants are eligible to work a maximum of 1500 hours per 12 consecutive months. Candidates will be required to pass a live-scan background check and provide proof of application for, or enrollment in, a college curriculum preparing for an IT or Public Health related curriculum leading to a bachelor's or advanced degree for HR review.
Under close supervision of the Information Technology Manager II, the incumbent will perform a variety of tasks of broad scope in connection with the Office of Technology and Solutions Integration (OTSI) and Child Welfare Digital Services project. The Student Assistant will focus on business needs of the CWS-CARES Technology Unit and will perform IT related tasks including but not limited to, tracking, updating, entering data, reviewing test outputs, and generating basic reports and documentation. The student will use a myriad of tools including Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Forms or similar tools for workflow automation.

Salary : $3,167 - $4,268
