In this role as a Assistant Director - Technical Strategy, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining the enterprise architecture strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap aligned with the Commission's strategic plan.
- Conducting current state assessments, gap analyses, and future state architecture planning to guide modernization and technology investments.
- Establishing architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guidelines for technology selection and implementation across the enterprise.
- Leading and mentoring senior architects, technical leads, project managers, and specialized staff to ensure high-quality architectural and project management practices.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize and implement innovative technology solutions leveraging cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and emerging technologies.
- Modernizing and retiring legacy systems while defining strategies for new projects, including build versus buy decisions and integration requirements.
- Facilitating architectural and project review processes, advisory councils, workgroups, and governance forums to maintain standards and best practices.
- Interpreting and operationalizing federal IT policies, legislative mandates, and regulatory requirements into architectural and project management standards and technical guidelines.
