Senior Technical Procurement Specialist Electrical Systems
Location: North Houston (Onsite)
We re seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and purchasing for electrical systems and capital equipment across project-based environments. This role partners closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure the right equipment is selected, delivered on time, and aligned with project requirements.
What You ll Do
- Lead procurement of electrical equipment including switchgear, drives, control systems, and power distribution components
- Review technical specifications and ensure purchased materials align with project requirements and engineering designs
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to support cost and schedule targets
- Track procurement status across projects, including long-lead items and delivery timelines
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to evaluate equipment options and substitutions
- Manage supplier relationships, including expediting, issue resolution, and performance tracking
- Support inventory planning and spare parts strategies
- Assist with cost tracking, reporting, and identifying opportunities for savings
- Maintain accurate documentation of purchases, materials, and supplier communications
What You Bring
- 5 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years supporting electrical equipment or power systems
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical components (power distribution, controls, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or specifications
- Experience working in project-driven or capital equipment environments
- Strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

- Background in industrial, energy, or large-scale project environments
- Experience sourcing complex or long-lead equipment packages
- Familiarity with improving procurement processes or supplier strategies
- Bachelor s degree in a related field (Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)
