The Director of Accounting will lead the company’s accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient financial processes. This role partners closely with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and review financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and executive reporting packages.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, purchasing, and commission accounting processes.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and support business planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with external CPA firms, banking partners, and vendors.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience in a service-based environment preferred; IT services or telecommunications experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, ConnectWise, or similar platforms.
