Patent Agent or Patent Associate – Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (1st to 3rd year associate)
A leading law firm is seeking a Junior Patent Associate with an engineering background to join its dynamic Intellectual Property practice.
This position is available in multiple U.S. offices, including Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Wilmington.
Qualifications - The ideal candidate will possess:
- 1–3 years of patent prosecution experience (as a patent agent or patent attorney)
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field (graduate degree preferred)
- Demonstrated experience working with mechanical technologies
- Ability to support chemical or materials science patent applications as needed
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Registration with the USPTO and admission to a state bar (or eligibility to waive in)
