Job Description Service Worker Ready to keep Orange County moving? Join OCTA’s fleet team and play a critical role in keeping our buses clean, fueled, inspected, and ready for service. This is a non-exempt, represented position in salary grade 810: $24.99/hour - Starting rate $25.86/hour – after 6 months $26.80/hour – after 12 months $27.54/hour – after 18 months $28.28/hour – after 24 months $29.07/hour – after 30 months $29.77/hour - after 36 months **Six (6) month increases are subject to terms of Collective Bargaining Agreement This position will remain open until a candidate is selected. What You’ll Do Fuel, inspect, and service buses to ensure safe daily operation Clean interiors and exteriors of vehicles Check and refill fluids (oil, water, air, battery levels) Move and park vehicles safely in the yard Report mechanical or safety concerns Perform minor maintenance tasks and maintain service records You’ll be part of a fast-paced, 24/7 operation that keeps public transportation running smoothly. What We’re Looking For Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong attention to detail and safety Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Good DMV record in accordance with agency standards High school diploma or GED preferred Garage, fleet, or service station experience is a plus Must wear approved steel-toed safety shoes Important: This is a safety-sensitive position subject to DOT/FTA drug and alcohol testing requirements.
