What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Oceanside Unified School District?
The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There are currently TWO positions open at Education Support Services. These are 7.5 hour/day, 10 month positions. Under the general direction of an assigned supervisor, develop, implement, oversee, and provide occupational therapy services and treatment to enhance fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and other functional abilities and development among identified students with disabilities; observe, evaluate, and develop occupational therapy treatment plans in response to student needs and disabilities; and provide occupational therapy services and treatment which directly support student learning.Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited school of occupational therapy and registration by the American Occupational Therapy Association certifying clinical competence as a Registered Occupational Therapist. Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and in an education setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Valid license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Valid certification with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Valid California driver’s license. Possession of current certificate in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid. *Maintenance of licenses and certifications is a requirement of continued employment*
