Ocean View School District is excited to announce an opening for School Nurse for the 2026/2027 school year! The School Nurse is an itinerant position that provides health services to several school sites in the district.
Requirements / Qualifications
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The primary role of the school nurse is to support student learning. The school nurse will coordinate and conduct a health services program at the District, elementary, and middle schools for the evaluation, improvement and protection of the health of pupils, and school personnel, in accordance with state law and District policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION:
• Valid California CTC School Nurse Services Credential;
• Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Educational Health & Welfare, Nursing, or Public Health;
• Audiometrist certification, preferred
• Possession of a valid California Registered Nursing License;
• Possession of a valid California Driver License and the ability to provide own transportation to various sites within OVSD and Orange County;
• Must possess, or be willing to obtain, an American Red Cross Instructor Certificate for CPR & First Aid employee training.
EXPERIENCE:
• One year of pediatric nursing experience desirable;
• 5 years of previous experience accepted for placement on the Teacher's Salary Schedule (per OVTA contract - Section 13.2.1)

- Copy of Transcript ((Bachelor's, Master's, & Post-Baccalaureate Transcripts with Confer Date))
- CPR/First Aid Certification ((Valid American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certificate))
