What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative (CSA) position at Ocean State Aviation?
Ocean State Aviation is currently seeking applicants for our part time Customer Service Agent position. The duties/responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner
- Present a professional and positive image of Ocean State Aviation and our Customers
- Provide check-in assistance and special service requests for passengers
- Verify travel documents are valid
- Check and accept passenger luggage
- Provide accurate gate, flight arrival and departure information, as well as answer general inquiries
- Assist unaccompanied minors and passengers with special needs, resolve customer concerns and perform other duties as assigned.
- Board/deplane flights and escort passengers to and from aircraft as needed including passengers with special service requests
- Provide clear and accurate communication to passengers, agent and flight crews.
- Assist in cleaning of aircraft as listed above.
- Must be able to lift luggage weighing 50 lbs repetitively.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to unaccompanied minors, law enforcement officers, dangerous goods and other regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security and safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Bilingual (Portuguese) preferred/needed.
Qualified applicants must be able to:
- Pass a 10 year federal criminal background.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have reliable transportation.
This position is part time 10-15 hours per week, increasing in the summer as flight schedules increase.
