About the Role
The Shift Manager Beverage will have primary responsibility for management of Casino Beverage staff on an assigned shift.
Position Responsibilities
- Trains and evaluates team members
- Ensures accurate recordkeeping at all times
- Interviews applicants according to established personnel policies and procedures.
- Implements and adheres to all beverage cost control procedures
- Ensures preparation of all drinks and cocktails according to recipes
- Keeps beverage Department costs at acceptable levels.
- Recommends specialty drink recipes and other merchandising concepts
- Adheres to established food and beverage policies, labor relations, liquor laws and Health Department sanitary codes
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Department
Essential Functions
- Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards and liquor regulations (where applicable) are followed in adherence to state and local guidelines.
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services (as needed)
- Maintain opening and closing procedures and security standards.
- Must be able to read “fine print” areas of invoices and contracts
- Must be able lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
- One to three years’ prior supervisory experience in a high volume outlet/restaurant is required
- Demonstrated ability to work in an independent environment with minimum supervision and deliver against set goals.

- Reliable with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure

- Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $52,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
