What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server B-list - On Call position at Ocean Casino Resort?
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing prompt, friendly and efficient service to our guests while delivering food & beverage in support of banquet operations.
Role Responsibilities
- Accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.
- Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
- Completes all setup and closing duties in a timely fashion
- Adheres to food and beverage policies and procedures and state liquor laws
- Relays all guest compliment/complaints to appropriate supervisor
- Observes diners to respond to additional requests and to determine when meal is completed
- Set up and break down of scheduled events with proper handling and storage of china, glass, flatware, linen and any other related product and/or equipment
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel area
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours
- Prior experience as an event server or high-volume restaurant server
- Strong guest service skills; including ability to converse with guests
- Positive, personable, and outwardly friendly
- Ability to perform role in a in a busy, high volume work environment
- Endure various physical movements throughout the shift; including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time
- The ability to effectively communicate in English
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 50lbs
