Overview
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage our innovative, heavy civil construction projects onsite. The goal is always to exceed our client's expectations in every way. Our projects have unique features that require creative thinking, detailed planning, willingness to utilize new technology and our company standard of superior safety, quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Typically acts as the top Company representative onsite with Clients, subcontractors and employees.
- Partners with Project Engineers and Project Managers to create work plans and execute the work within budget and specifications
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly paperwork in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensures work is performed per OSHA, FRA and other regulations (ALWAYS).
- Verifies 3-phase inspection is followed for each feature of work.
- Verify daily work objectives are delivered to the crew effectively.
- Oversees proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools on site
- Understands subcontractors’ contract content and ensures they perform responsibilities to spec.
- Train and mentor junior staff in construction practices, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Positively and proudly represents the Company to others at all times.
- Provides positive feedback to encourage desired behaviors.
- Maintains a project site culture that promotes company growth and worker/client satisfaction.
Experience
- More than 10 years total experience in Construction.
- Passion for construction and innovation required.
- 5 years experience with Bridges / heavy highway or USACE Lock & Dam construction, preferred
- Skilled at reading drawings/specifications
- Knowledgeable of AWS D1.5 welding code, preferred
- Knowledgeable in AREMA specification, DOT specifications, Etc a plus.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of heavy construction equipment, particularly cranes
- Ability to lead others
- Knowledge of tools and proper care of equipment
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in construction projects.
- Ability to pass Federal Background Check / Erail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be willing to travel to our jobsites within 800 mile radius of home office in Mid-MO and work project rotations: 14 days on / 7 days off; 9 days on / 5 days off; 5 days on / 2 days off.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
