Job Duties and Responsibilities
Your mission will be to ensure smooth and timely flow of inventory through our supply pipeline.
Forecast demand and schedule production
- Calculate future consumption
- Plan inventory levels of finished goods
- Create production schedules
- Adjust the production plan to keep us in stock
Place orders for components and finished goods
- Create and submit purchase orders
- Identify and select suppliers for buying components
- Request quotes and lead times
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service terms
- Maintain accurate vendor information
Report supply metrics, schedules, and supplier status
- Report supply KPIs to Ops and Production teams
- Communicate production schedule and delivery ETAs to the Warehouse and Production teams
- Alert the Production Team to changes to component end of life, lead times, and availability
- Prepare reports on vendor performance
Solve problems affecting supply
- Communicate with vendors on issues impacting supply
- Approve or propose component substitutions
- Resolve discrepancies, damages, or shortages with vendors
- Request vendor credits or discounts
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (Required)
You should only apply if you have the following qualifications:
- Competency with MS Windows, Outlook, Teams, and Google Docs
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, CSV imports, and multi-sheet references.
- Type at least 40 words per minute
- Remote work experience
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (Nice to Have)
The following is not required, but is helpful:
- Fishbowl or other ERP software experience
- Experience in the electronic manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with import/export regulation and tariffs
- Strong negotiation background
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
Salary and Bonus
- Base salary $65k–$82k
- 15% target performance bonus
- Total pay $75k–$95k/year
