As the Program Coordinator, you will work within our adult partial care located in Berlin, Camden County NJ.
From young adults in transition, to seniors in need of specialized care, partial care programs provide adults living with a mental illness with the support needed to prevent psychiatric hospitalization and improve functioning in the community. Utilizing principles of wellness and recovery and peer support systems, we work with individuals to create a personalized wellness and recovery plan, develop positive relationships and improve overall quality of life.
Located in Berlin, Camden County NJ
Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday 8:15am-5:00pm; 45 minute unpaid lunch
Competencies:
The applicant must demonstrate a knowledge of wellness and recovery principals, awareness of the impact and limitations of mental health illness and social functioning. In addition, the applicant must have the ability to convey trust and gain respect from the population served. He/she must also possess superb written and verbal skills.
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Program Coordinator, will provide oversight and supervision of direct care staff, support with counselor duties and assist the Program Supervisor in the daily operations of the Partial Care program. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for, but not limited to performing the following functions:
- Provide administrative oversight to case managers, behavioral support specialist, and counselors in the program
- Conduct individual supervisions per agency and licensing standards
- Facilitate staff meetings and daily morning meetings for partial care staff
- Recruit, train, and develop a highly motivated and effective team
- Assist Program Supervisor in providing oversight of quality assurance and performance improvement activities related to agency requirements
- Monitor staff provision of group services on topics including cognitive skills, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, prevocational/educational skills, and health and wellness
- Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, including engaging in coordination of care with internal and external providers and facilitating treatment team meetings
- Facilitate groups, conduct assessments, engage in treatment planning, as needed for a small caseload of individuals
- Provide crisis intervention, as needed
- Facilitate program training and curriculum development, consistent with licensing standards
- Assist Program Supervisor with ensuring compliance for the program and facility through inspections, record reviews, compliance reviews
- Maintain documentation per licensing and agency standards
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA,BS,BSW) and minimum of two (2) year’s experience in providing mental health services;
- Master’s degree (MA,MS,MSW) in mental health, rehabilitation of human services field preferred;
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Programs funded through SAMHSA must follow federal guidelines for a drug free workplace.
