Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday - Thursday
- 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 - 12:30)
- Develop and implement individualized feeding treatment plans for children, providing individualized support to address oral-motor skills, swallowing safety, sensory-based feeding challenges, and overall mealtime success
- Prepare and organize developmentally appropriate feeding materials and food items tailored to each child's medical, sensory, and nutritional needs
- Document session notes and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) system accurately and timely
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with children, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in team huddles, case discussions, and ongoing learning opportunities
- Stay up to date with advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development
- Support a positive, play-based therapy environment that motivates and encourages each child's growth
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Current Texas SLP license in good standing
- VitalStim certification is required (or willingness to obtain certification immediately upon hire)
- Medicaid credentialing preferred (or willingness to complete credentialing immediately upon hire)
- Deep understanding of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, including oral-motor development, dysphagia management, sensory feeding challenges, and mealtime behavioral dynamics
- Demonstrated experience providing pediatric feeding therapy, with the ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of feeding needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
