Workday Compensation Lead (Product Owner)
Princeton, NJ - Hybrid (3 days in office)
$130,000-$160,000 base bonus
About the Opportunity
Oakleaf Partnership is supporting a global, multi-business organization in the search for a Workday Compensation Lead. This strategic role sits at the intersection of HR Technology, Compensation, and Operations-owning the evolution, governance, and optimization of Workday Compensation across a complex international environment.
The successful candidate will act as the product owner for all Compensation functionality, driving enhancements, enabling seamless annual compensation cycles, and improving the manager and employee experience through thoughtful configuration and automation.
Product Roadmap & Ownership: Define and execute the long-term Workday Compensation roadmap aligned with enterprise HR and business priorities.
Advanced Solution Design: Configure and optimize Advanced Compensation, Salary, Bonus, Stock, and complex compensation plans.
Compensation Cycle Leadership: Lead global annual compensation cycle setup, testing, deployment, and issue resolution.
Governance & Control: Oversee release management, regression testing, change control, and configuration integrity across regions.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary bridge between Compensation COEs, HR Ops, Payroll, and Technology teams.
Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunities, streamline workflows, and enhance data accuracy.
6-10 years in HR Technology with significant hands-on Workday configuration experience.
Minimum 3-5 years specializing in Workday Compensation.
Strong background navigating global compensation cycles and system governance.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Excellent communicator with strong analytical and documentation skills.
(Preferred) Workday Pro certification or Workday partner implementation experience.
Competitive base salary $130,000-$160,000 bonus
Hybrid working model - 3 days per week onsite in Princeton
