Position Summary

The Changeover Crew is a per-event employee who works specifically in the areas of room setups and auditorium conversions. The position is primarily responsible for the changeover in the venue from one event to another. Additionally, a member of the Changeover Crew may be involved in other aspects of building maintenance to include painting, trash disposal, exterior facility care, furniture moving, etc. The Changeover Crew is a vital component of the venue in responding to the needs of promoters and clients. A positive attitude and a positive appearance are essential.

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 - $12.00

About The Venue

Flint River Entertainment Complex is owned by the City of Albany and is operated by OVG. Located in Albany, GA, the Flint River Entertainment Complex is comprised of three venues—the Albany Civic Center, the Albany Municipal Auditorium, and the Veterans Park Amphitheatre. Hosting live spectator events, banquets, meetings, trade shows, conferences, concerts, and more, the Flint River Entertainment Complex prides itself on bringing quality entertainment to southwest Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Actively care for all equipment and property by storing, cleaning, and maintaining changeover equipment.
  • Respond and resolve set-up issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and management.
  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events.
  • Setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
  • Responding to promoters'/clients' needs as directed.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met, including, but not limited to, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies
  • Assist, when necessary, with pre/post event cleaning, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, carpet cleaning
  • Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, garage, entrances, and event plaza.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, patching, and other conversion-related operational equipment
  • Follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
  • Works effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with event changeovers is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
  • Must be able to work in a manner that is safe and effective.
  • Must possess the ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions accurately while communicating clearly and effectively.
  • Experience operating equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment. Training and certification required.
  • Work boots are required and provided by the employee for all shifts. The arena will supply hard hats that are required at designated times on an event day.
