What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT - Technician I position at Oak Ridge School District?
Responsible for trouble shooting and support of student laptop computers, operating systems, applications software, and associated peripherals such as printers in a Windows 8.1 environment
Essential Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Oak Ridge Schools Policies and Procedures
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about workplace issues
- Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform job duties and responsibilities
- Provide help desk support for student users
- Provide technical assistance to end-users on hardware and software problems
- Issuing and documentation of replacement equipment
- Any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications (minimum education, licensure, and/or experience):
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Experience with repair services in an enterprise environment considered a plus
- Experience working with a ticketing system and completing work according to set schedules considered a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer service attitude and ability to work well with others
- Valid driver s license with good driving record
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software and configurations a plus
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
