Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Oak Park Oasis in Oak Park, Illinois. Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Receives and directs incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
Monitors, greets, and directs all visitors to the facility
Performs basic clerical tasks as assigned
Compiles reports and types general or technical material or correspondence
Maintains current lists of residents by name and room number, telephone numbers of personnel, department extensions, names of key personnel and their extension numbers, physician telephone numbers, and facility emergency numbers and contacts
Coordinates outgoing and incoming mail
Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and facilities receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills:
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage a variety of assignments with moderate complexity requiring considerable familiarity with the operating details of the center
Ability to interpret and apply departmental procedures
Present a well-groomed professional image and be always courteous and tactful
Show discretion in handling confidential information
Have a pleasant and professional phone manner
Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies personnel and the public
Have well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions, as necessary
Performs Related Duties:
Interact with customers, families, visitors, and Care Center Facility subsidiary personnel
Carries out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention/participation may be required
Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent with college/business school coursework preferred
Experience with medical terminology is preferred
Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
