Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community and a Skilled Nursing Building.
We currently have an opening for a Part Time Evening Receptionist-Monday through Friday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES: |
|
|
Listed below is an outline of the major duties and responsibilities that are required to perform this position. As Receptionist you are delegated by the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary to carry out the assigned duties. |
|
|
|
|
|
1. |
Answer and direct incoming calls. |
|
2. |
Assist family members and visiting guests regarding information pertaining to facility directions and amenities. |
|
3. |
Working knowledge of what to do in emergencies, i.e., Tornado, Fire, Bomb Threat, etc. |
|
4. |
Maintain police/weather/radio alarm and respond appropriately to emergencies. |
|
5. |
Sort and distribute mail to appropriate Directors/Departments/Residents. |
|
6. |
Some light typing, as requested, as well as bulk mail preparation(s), as needed. |
|
7. |
Prepare postage via postage machine for all outgoing mail, as needed. |
|
8. |
Log all incoming deliveries made at the front desk. |
|
9. |
Order supplies for reception desk through Central Supply. |
|
10. |
Create and distribute Communication sheets regarding residents, (i.e., new admission, room change, discharge, re-admission, expiration) through email correspondence. |
|
11. |
Update daily rosters and telephone lists, as needed. |
|
12. |
Maintain dining reservations for Garden Dining Room, as requested. |
|
13. |
Maintain awareness of residents that may be a wander precaution. |
|
14. |
Assist in creating and distributing Resident Care Plan Meeting Letters, as needed. |
|
15. |
Forward any mail to discharged residents, as needed. |
|
16. |
Ensure all pets visiting the facility are current on vaccinations and maintain the Pet Vaccination Log, as needed. |
|
17. |
Contact Laundry Department for labeling of resident clothing and log all such items in books alphabetically, as needed. |
|
18. |
Respond to calls from the backdoor for deliveries. |
|
19. |
Miscellaneous projects involving, sorting, copying, typing, mailing, and emailing. |
|
20. |
Maintain confidentiality of necessary information in compliance with HIPAA. |
|
21. |
At the end of each day, complete closing procedures, including: turning off all appropriate office equipment, switching the telephone to the Night Answering Service and locking the reception area. |

22. |
Other duties as assigned. |

JOB REQUIREMENTS: |

|
1. |
Education: |
High School Diploma or equivalent. |
|
2. |
Experience: |
Previous Receptionist or Customer Service required. Healthcare experience preferred, |
|
|
||
|
3. |
Physical Demands: |
Primarily sedentary in nature. Maximum lifting of approximately 10 pounds with occasional lifting of small objects. Sitting, standing, walking, talking, and hearing. |

Travel: |

|
5. |
Working Conditions: |
Inside a well-lighted, well ventilated, highly visible area. |

Principal Contacts: |
Works closely with resident family members, and facility staff. |
