Quicklane Trainer Supervisor/Coordinator
O'Meara Ford is looking for Quicklane Trainer. If you're enthusiastic about mentoring and training and have previous automotive technician experience, you'll love this job! You'll be developing tech school grads into a long term career and building the future of the largest service facility in town.
Compensation
$5000-$6500/month
Job Summary:
The Quicklane Trainer ensures an efficient Quicklane department by training productive staff, setting and achieving goals, and maintaining a clean and safe shop. This is a full-time training position, hands on at all times!
Essential Functions
Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty, and genuine concern for customers.
Act as the highest source of information for Quicklane service procedures and concerns (for both employees and customers)
Train all Quicklane tech new hires
First day: new hires shadow you, go over all processes in detail
Second day: you will shadow them, correct process and safety as you go
Thoroughly teach how to perform the Vehicle Check Report with proper recommendations based on condition, mileage and vehicle history.
Expected to be in uniform helping QL employee when not training new hires
Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments
Interviews, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all Quicklane technicians.
Be in or near QL bays at all times, must be available for questions and help
Be a servant leader, a yes man! All QL techs should feel comfortable asking questions and getting help.
Enforces safety requirements, including lift training and operation, and OSHA Right-to-Know.
Stay up to date on industry standards and any new innovations, materials, tools and/or processes that can benefit the company
Delegate and direct QL tasks; monitor the progress of all current and pending projects
Works with the service manager and shop foreman to ensure a timely turnaround
Holds weekly QL Technician meetings each week to set realistic and attainable goals
Maintain communications with the staff regarding time off, work expectations and certifications.
Report to management and human resources any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or customers.
