Unarmed Security Guard

Position Overview:
The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by deterring criminal activity, enforcing policies, and providing assistance to employees, visitors, and clients. This role requires professionalism, attentiveness, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of property

• Monitor entrances/exits and maintain visitor access logs

• Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity

• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies according to company procedures

• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities in written reports

• Identify safety hazards and escalate issues when necessary

• Assist employees, visitors, and clients courteously and professionally

• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid security guard license/registration (state requirement)

• Previous security, law enforcement, or military background preferred

• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations

• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills

• Physical ability to patrol and stand for extended periods

Work Conditions:

• May include indoor/outdoor assignments

• Shifts may vary (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
