Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, knives, and other culinary tools
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and ensuring ingredient availability
- Follow strict food safety protocols and handle food properly to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely meal service
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients
