As a Construction Manager specializing in Base Building, you will oversee the construction of core building structures—including structural frameworks, exterior walls, roofs, and essential mechanical systems. You’ll play a key leadership role, ensuring multiple projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Oversee construction of building shells and primary mechanical systems for large-scale data centers and industrial facilities.
Base Building Management: Direct development of roofs, exterior walls, and critical infrastructure systems, ensuring compliance with codes and alignment with project objectives.
Site Inspections & Quality Assurance: Conduct site walks to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and verify workmanship quality.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between internal teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain alignment and resolve challenges.
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contractor and vendor agreements to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and performance requirements.
Budget & Schedule Oversight: Track budgets and timelines proactively, identifying risks early and implementing mitigation plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure seamless project integration and handoff.
Progress Reporting: Deliver regular project updates and milestone reports to key stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale base building projects (data centers, industrial, or commercial).
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of structural, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Project Management Tools: Proficiency with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 30% to support multi-site operations.
Preferred Qualifications
