The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Operations Associate to join our energetic HQ team. This is not just an administrative role—it’s a chance to be at the heart of a global, mission-driven community. You’ll ensure the smooth execution of our programs, finances, events, and operations, while directly supporting our Global Director of Operations and Executive Director.
This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, finance, and event management while engaging directly with founders, sponsors, and emerging biotech startups.
Who You Are
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative and communicative — you thrive on working with colleagues, volunteers, and partners.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Eager to learn new tools and systems (finance, project management, data analysis).
- Background in biotech/life sciences or nonprofits a plus, but not required.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily financial processes (expense tracking, reimbursements, invoices, contracts).
- Support budget tracking, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
- Assist in planning major HQ-led events (Summit, JPM, partner challenges).
- Collaborate with the Activator Program Manager to ensure program success.
- Draft communications, manage logistics, and maintain internal systems.
- Support data collection, reporting, and project management across HQ initiatives.
