Job description
The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of resident care, ensuring compliance with Wisconsin's DHS 83 regulations governing Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs). This role involves supervising resident care staff, coordinating individualized service plans, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and support resident care staff, ensuring duties are performed in alignment with facility policies and DHS 83 standards.
- Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address concerns.
- Resident Care Coordination:
- Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive individual service plans for each resident
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor residents' health and well-being, updating service plans accordingly.
- Ensure residents receive proper care and treatment
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Maintain thorough documentation of resident care, staff training, and facility operations to demonstrate compliance with DHS 83 regulations.
- Participate in facility inspections and audits, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting facility operations and resident care.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate orientation and ongoing training for resident care staff, ensuring competency in areas such as standard precautions, fire safety, first aid, and medication management
- Monitor and document staff completion of required training programs.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff, fostering professional growth and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare
- Familiarity with assisted living
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to assist in resident transfers and respond to emergency situations.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Pay is based upon experience and certifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
