Controller (Direct Hire)
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our leadership team, reporting to the SVP of Finance. This role will oversee all accounting operations, ensure financial integrity, and support strategic decision-making across the organization. MUST COME FROM A FOOD MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND TO BE CONSIDERED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage all accounting functions: AP, AR, general ledger, cost and inventory accounting
- Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls
- Lead external audits and manage financial risk
- Monitor and manage cash flow and intercompany accounts
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and drive performance
- Supervise and develop accounting staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5–10 years of accounting/finance experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller experience
- Food Manufacturing and cost accounting experience
- CPA or CMA strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis)
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
