Role Summary
The Enterprise Solutions Architect works across Application Development, Service Delivery, and Infrastructure teams to identify, research, design, and implement enterprise-wide architecture standards. This role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically while understanding the practical implications of architectural decisions across the organization.

Job Duties
Design and lead integration strategies for disparate systems, applications, and data sources across the enterprise
Establish common interfaces, architecture principles, data standards, and best practices
Support senior management in complex technology initiatives and investment decision-making
Create and manage an architecture review process to evaluate proposed solutions against standards and strategic objectives
Collaborate with security teams to ensure solutions comply with organizational and regulatory requirements

Position Description
Only qualified Enterprise Solutions Architect candidates currently located in the Trenton, NJ area will be considered, as this position requires onsite presence.

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills (7 Years Each)
Ability to make informed decisions under uncertainty, weigh multiple factors and constraints, and consider long-term architectural implications
Knowledge of electronic data processing platforms and software
Knowledge of database and data dictionary systems and applications
Knowledge of application portfolio management, software design patterns, application integration, legacy system modernization, and application lifecycle management
Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, master data management, data warehousing, analytics platforms, and data quality frameworks
Knowledge of infrastructure components, platforms, development tools, middleware, and technology standards across on-prem and cloud-based environments
Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and informative reports and documentation on database systems, including creation and maintenance of data dictionary documentation
Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels
Strong written and verbal communication skills with data center and departmental personnel
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to maintain essential records and files
Ability to learn and utilize electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties
Experience working in government or regulatory environments

Preferred Certifications
TOGAF Certification, Certified Enterprise Architect, or similar recognized enterprise architecture credentials demonstrating formal training
AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect - Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills (7 Years Each)
Multi-cloud experience
Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives, cloud migrations, or enterprise modernization programs from inception through completion
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software development lifecycle practices
Comfort presenting to executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders
Ability to communicate complex technical strategies in business terms
