Position: Storeroom AttendantLocation: San Diego, CA 92101Type: Contractor - Onsite (Temp-to-Hire)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (Flexibility required between 6:30 AM-5:00 PM)Pay Rate: $20.00/hrSummaryThe Storeroom Attendant is an onsite role responsible for carrying out daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or company inventory. This position supports a clean, organized storeroom environment and requires a reliable individual with strong attention to detail, basic inventory knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team. Temp-to-hire opportunity with pay increase upon conversion to full-time.Candidates must be comfortable being on their feet, moving throughout the facility, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift or vending machine loading experience is preferred but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesUnload, receive, and properly put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment.Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify accuracy against invoices.Accurately sort, label, move, and store items following predefined systems (size, style, product code, etc.).Place materials on racks, shelves, or bins and organize storage areas for optimized space usage.Issue tools, goods, supplies, and equipment to site employees while maintaining accurate transaction records.Enter and update inventory data in computerized systems; retrieve information for inquiries and reports.Document discrepancies in an error log and escalate corrective actions to management.Request replenishment requisitions to maintain proper inventory levels.Conduct and assist with cycle counts; prepare reports and track inventory accuracy.Inspect tools/equipment for wear and defects; report issues to supervision.Maintain periodic or perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment.Deliver tools/equipment to work areas as needed.Locate misplaced/lost tools or supplies and investigate discrepancies.Perform minor tool/equipment service, lubrication, and cleaning when required.Ensure storeroom cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.Perform additional duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 months experience in a warehouse, storeroom, or material handling environment.Experience in loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods.Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn new systems.Preferred: MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals; ability to compute rates and percentages preferred.Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Detail-oriented, organized, and safety-focused.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.Reliable transportation; must support a second location (4200 Ruffin Rd., San Diego, CA) 2-3 times per year or as needed.Must comply with dress code: closed-toe shoes, no shorts, no ripped clothing.
