- Perform duties related to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triage patient orders, and maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
- Possess advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire, or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification.
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).
- Preferred: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
- Preferred: Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances).
- Preferred: Specialty certification (e.g., ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state.
