- Coordinate and develop customer solutions resulting in a project plan of equipment scope and project deliverables.
- Position the project, assist in developing the bid strategy, and win sales.
- Be accountable for proposals at all stages, from budgetary to Final Design bid documents.
- Work closely with sales and engineering teams, as well as manufacturers representatives and/or customers to collect necessary information for the project plan.
- Ensure accurate pricing, correct equipment, and project deliverables for each project, application, and site.
- Be cross-trained in all facets of production, products, and service, with the opportunity to progress in an area of need and choice as the company grows.
- Coordinate all necessary resources to assist in the design of projects that meet the requirements for execution through the rest of the company.
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth.
- Provide technical support to the Sales organization, including manufacturers representatives, engineering firms, or other potential customers.
- Create partnership relationships with all involved in a proposal or bid.
- Follow consistent workflow and bring ideas to the team for continuous improvement.
- Manage all aspects of the pre-sale process to assure all project deliverables are met within the established time.
- Document all information thoroughly through the pre-sale process.
- Effectively apply methodology through the course of a project to assure compliance with the established company project plan.
- Manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines.
- Support the strategic Sales plan and Marketing strategies as outlined by the Sales team.
- Facilitate calls with engineering firms and customers during the development of the projects.
- High School diploma (minimum).
- College Education (preferred): Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Procurement, or Project Management.
- 3 years experience estimating mechanical equipment.
- 3 years experience in reading mechanical and/or architectural blueprints.
- 3 years of proven customer service experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Background in manufacturing, construction, engineering, technical sales, relationship management, or project management (strongly preferred).
- Experience with municipal bidding and/or wastewater or stormwater industries (strongly preferred).
- Experience estimating large projects, estimating customer equipment, or engineering/construction projects (strongly preferred).
- Construction experience and knowledge of hydraulics and industrial controls (preferred).
- Small business experience helpful due to the multi-tasking requirements (preferred).
