Job Title: New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer
Location: Miamisburg, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base salary around $100K bonus (flexible for the right candidate)
We are seeking a hands-on New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to support the launch and industrialization of new products within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will bridge Product Engineering and Manufacturing by taking prototypes into full-scale production through process development, validation, and launch execution.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment and enjoy being heavily involved on the production floor rather than operating strictly from an office setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead APQP activities from Process Design through PPAP approval
Develop And Maintain
Process Flow Diagrams
PFMEAs
Control Plans
Standard Work Instructions
Own PPAP documentation and submission packages
Execute Process Validation Activities Including
Cp/Cpk studies
Run-at-Rate
Production trials
MSA / Gage R&R
Collaborate with Product Engineering on DFM/DFA reviews
Support tooling, fixture, and workstation development
Assist with process improvements and manufacturing optimization initiatives
Support transition from prototype builds into mass production
Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches
Provide technical support during early production ramp-up
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
47 years of manufacturing/process engineering experience
Strong Experience With
APQP
PPAP
PFMEA
Control Plans
SPC
Process validation
Experience in high-volume discrete manufacturing environments
Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings
Strong understanding of manufacturing process development
Hands-on mindset with willingness to work directly on the production floor
Preferred Experience
CNC machining or secondary manufacturing processes
Metal manufacturing, extrusion, or tooling environments
Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience
Fixture or tooling design experience
CAD experience such as SolidWorks
