Senior Accountant
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Compensation: $80,000-90,000 base
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
ERP: Sage Intacct (current) | SAP exposure preferred
Job Summary
We are partnering with a growing, multi-entity organization in the parking and transportation services space to identify a Senior Accountant to join their Atlanta-based accounting team. This role is highly hands-on and plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financials across multiple properties and business units.
The Senior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, lead close activities, and partner closely with the Accounting Manager/Controller to ensure timely, accurate reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations across multiple entities and properties
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Analyze P&L trends, variances, and key operational drivers
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Assist with year-end close, audits, and tax-related requests
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Payroll, and Billing teams
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Support ERP-related initiatives, including system enhancements or conversions
- Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal accounting policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location environment
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with leadership
Must Have
- Time and task management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities
- Strong general ledger and financial statement experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Exposure to SAP
- Experience working closely with Accounting Managers or Controllers
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, operationally driven business
Nice to Have
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or system transitions
- Background in service-based, property-based, or operational accounting environments
