Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Director to oversee both financial operations and administrative functions. This role combines finance leadership with HR and office management responsibilities. The Finance Director will be responsible for managing accounting processes, financial planning, and reporting, while also handling organizational administration such as benefits management, 401(k) oversight, vendor relationships, and general office operations.

This individual will report directly to the President & CEO and collaborate closely with the Board, executive team, and internal staff to ensure smooth financial, HR, and administrative processes that support the organization’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records across banking, accounting software, and databases.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and other daily finance activities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports; manage relationships with auditors, consultants, and external service providers.
  • Lead financial planning and KPI tracking to guide organizational performance.
  • Manage HR-related processes, including employee benefits, payroll coordination, and 401(k) plan administration.
  • Oversee office operations, administrative workflows, and vendor/partner relationships.
  • Provide support with research, reporting, and analysis to ensure cross-departmental alignment.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture by taking initiative and demonstrating a solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar operational role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial management and accounting practices.
  • Proven skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in HR administration, including benefits and retirement plan management, strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with leadership, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • Experience with CRM/AMS systems and data-driven reporting tools a plus.
