High School Psychology Teacher - CPS

Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced high school psychology teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. The ideal candidate should have a rich background in Psychology and AP Psychology. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment while promoting critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned courses through live sessions and asynchronous activities using Canvas, following provided lesson plans and curriculum standards.

• Track student progress via Canvas, administer assessments, and provide timely, constructive feedback to promote academic growth.

• Foster collaboration, critical thinking, and active participation through structured discussions, group projects, and inclusive teaching strategies.

• Participate in classroom observations, feedback sessions, and training opportunities to continuously improve instructional effectiveness.

• Work closely with colleagues and academic leaders to promote cross-curricular learning and address students’ academic and developmental needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

• Valid secondary-level teaching credential in Social Science (preferred).

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience at a U.S. public or private high school, ideally in hybrid or online environments (required).

• Proficiency with virtual teaching tools (Canvas, Zoom) and learning management systems.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to scaffold complex concepts effectively.

Preferred:

• Experience with classroom observation and reflective teaching practices.

• Possession of a Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential.

Schedule：

• Class hours are scheduled between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
