This role focuses on providing individualized academic advising, maintaining strong parent communication, and guiding students through academic planning within the U.S. education system.The ideal candidate is student-centered, culturally competent, and experienced in academic advising or education services, with the ability to align students academic needs with appropriate Novel Prep programs and services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide academic advising to students in Mandarin, Korean, and English, based on student and parent needsSupport students with course selection, academic planning, goal setting, and progress monitoringConduct consultations with parents and families; communicate academic progress, concerns, and recommendationsCollaborate closely with teachers, program coordinators, and administrative staff to support student successIntroduce Novel Preps academic programs and educational products in alignment with students academic goals and needsRecommend and guide families toward appropriate Novel Prep services, clearly explaining program value, structure, and expected outcomesSupport enrollment decisions by responding to program-related inquiries and coordinating with internal admissions or operations teamsMaintain accurate advising records, student reports, and individualized academic plansProvide guidance on college preparation, enrichment opportunities, and academic pathways, as applicableRequired QualificationsProfessional fluency in Mandarin, Korean, and English (spoken and written)Bachelors degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Linguistics, International Studies, or a related fieldStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multicultural students and familiesExperience in academic advising, counseling, education services, or student support (K12 or higher education)Ability to manage multiple student cases while maintaining attention to detail and documentation accuracy
