KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role focuses on improving production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and supporting innovation in welding methods and technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement welding procedures aligned with production specifications, material requirements, and engineering standards
- Establish guidelines for pre- and post-heating, complex alloys, and critical weld joints
- Design and create welding fixtures to support production
- Develop internal passivation methods for welds
- Research and evaluate new welding technologies and processes for potential implementation
- Lead and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with welding standards and procedures
- Test welds for conformance with applicable codes and certify welding personnel as needed
- Partner with procurement teams to develop supply chains for welding consumables and outsourced components
- Perform hands-on welding, fabrication, and assembly to meet customer specifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within welding and fabrication processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field, or 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Minimum Level II Visual Weld Inspector certification required
- 2 to 4 years of experience in welding, preferably with stainless steel
- Strong understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9000 or similar standards
- Experience with 3D modeling
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced or startup environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
- Ability to bend, squat, climb, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Frequent lifting of 1 to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Occasional carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials
- Regular use of machinery and tools
- Fine motor skills required for detailed work
- Occasional driving as needed
