Essential Responsibilities
Engineering Design & Technical Support
- Support design of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems
- Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and protection diagrams
- Assist with equipment selection and specification development
- Prepare cable schedules, conduit schedules, and bill of materials
- Perform electrical calculations including grounding, protection, and system sizing
- Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines
- Provide engineering support during procurement and construction phases
- Interface with vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
- Assist with technical reviews and drawing coordination
- Support field issue resolution and engineering clarifications
- Support equipment procurement and vendor evaluations
- Review vendor submittals and technical documentation
- Assist with material tracking and equipment integration
- Coordinate with purchasing and quality teams
- Develop engineering reports and technical documentation
- Maintain drawing packages and revision control
- Review electrical layouts and construction drawings
- Support control panel layouts and wiring diagrams
- Work closely with project management, engineering, and field teams
- Support project meetings and technical discussions
- Assist with coordination across design, procurement, and construction
- Reports to Project Manager or Engineering Leadership
- Exposure to full EPC lifecycle (engineering, procurement, construction)
- Opportunity to grow into Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager roles
- Professional Engineering licensure encouraged but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering required
- 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or EPC project environments preferred
- Experience with power systems, substations, or industrial electrical systems preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience supporting EPC or construction-based projects preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience preferred
- Ability to coordinate across engineering disciplines and project teams
