Position Summary:
Notre Dame Academy seeks a Girls Soccer Assistant Varsity Coach / JV Head Coach to join our community for the 2026–2027 school year with practice starting 8/24/26. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations and long-term vitality of the School.
The Assistant Varsity Coach / JV Head Coach is responsible for following and upholding the policies and mission statement of Notre Dame Academy, overseeing the development of all levels of the soccer program, and instructing and demonstrating skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team development, while contributing to a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
At Notre Dame Academy, all staff members play a vital role in forming young women of intellect, faith, and purpose. This role includes both functional responsibilities and active participation in the life of the school community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out the primary responsibilities of the role, including:
Oversee the development of all levels of the soccer program;
Coaching, character development, and providing direction to student-athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in soccer;
Interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents, and the community;
Coordinating parent meetings, tryouts, daily practice planning, game management, off-season programming, and community engagement;
Work closely with the athletic director to ensure all school policies/procedures are being followed as they relate to athletic programs (eligibility, parent meetings, registrations, tryouts, scheduling, equipment inventory/collection, off-season training programs, etc.)
Work directly with athletic trainers and the athletic director to report injuries, teach precautions and procedures to ensure staff/student safety, and help students prevent injuries;
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and school leadership to support students and advance school initiatives;
Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues;
Maintain accurate records and ensure responsible handling of sensitive information;
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful school culture;
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as appropriate;
Uphold and model the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy in all aspects of work;
