Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school-level science in a small classroom setting, managing daily instruction and promoting positive classroom behavior.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, labs, projects, and assessments that align with academic standards while remaining responsive to student interests and learning levels.
- Create hands-on learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry.
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with IEPs or behavioral support plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including special educators, behavior consultants, and administrators to ensure individualized support for each student.
- Contribute to a positive school culture and help students meet both academic and personal growth goals.
What we're looking for:
- Equivalent experience in science instruction preferred.
- Passion for alternative education, relationship-based teaching, and experiential learning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Hiring rate is based on experience, education, and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with NCSS policy and applicable laws.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a closely related field preferred.
Valid teaching license or certification in secondary science – or licensure eligibility.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
