Responsibilities
- Assist experienced HVAC technicians with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Learn to read schematics and HVAC design plans to support system setup and maintenance.
- Support routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment, including cleaning, part replacement, and system inspections.
- Gain practical experience in plumbing and refrigeration systems used within HVAC applications.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical issues and ensure proper equipment operation.
- Participate in field service activities including appliance repair, property maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Support welding and mechanical repairs on HVAC components such as boilers or ammonia refrigeration units under supervision.
Qualifications
- NO experience required.
- Strong interest in construction, mechanical systems, or property maintenance with a desire to develop HVAC expertise.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or prior experience as a service technician is a plus.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC/R systems.
- Experience with field service work or appliance repair is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to learn welding techniques and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
