We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Receptionist who is friendly, organized, professional, and passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and referring dental offices and will play a critical role in the success of our practice.
Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for managing patient communications, scheduling, insurance verification, treatment coordination, and administrative tasks while ensuring every patient receives outstanding customer service from the moment they contact our office.
Schedule
- Tuesday – Friday
- Approximately 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- No evenings
- No weekends
Compensation
- $19–$25 per hour
- Pay based on experience, skills, and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
- Obtain referrals, radiographs, and patient records from referring offices
- Collect co-payments and patient balances
- Present financial policies and treatment estimates
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Coordinate communication with referring dental offices
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Assist with general administrative and office duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of front desk, dental office, medical office, or customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficiency with computers and office software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Dental front desk experience
- Experience with dental insurance verification and claims processing
- Experience with practice management software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Treatment coordination experience
